Heaven in a box!!! (Thank you iheartcuppycakes!)

Yup, that’s what it is.   As you all know from previous blog posts on other blogs, I filled out my application to work for the exclusive Mr. Cuppycakes as a taste tester.  Apparently I showed enough potential to make it to the next round, which was actually receiving a cupcake sample, eating, reviewing and posting on my blog.

First let me say that this little box of cupcakes had quite a trip.  Not only did they travel approximately 2, 397 miles, but due to the fact that my mail lady refuses to figure out which house is actually mine, they had to sit outside in the cold at my FIL’s house who lives approximately 3 miles from me.  (Granted, I didn’t have the dreaded pick me up at the post office slip but still).

So anyway, I get a call around 10:30 am Sunday from FIL that a package was left for me at his house.  Needless to say, my first though is who in the world sent me a package and did I order something I forgot about?  NOPE!!!  Mr. Cuppycakes and the wonderful CB sent me my very own Snickerdoodle Cupcakes to test!  WOO HOO!!!

Can I just tell you when I opened the box this wonderful cinnamon smell comes out.  If I could describe it, it’s like one of those AHHHHH moments ::cue music::

So anyway, I got four very delicious cupcakes, each individually wrapped and placed in thier cute little box with my own little piping bag full of cinnamon cream cheese frosting.  I can only describe it one way HEAVEN IN A BOX!!!

I guess one of the fortunate things for me being the last taste tester to receive her cupcakes, I kind of got a leg up on the competition when it came to moistness of the cupcakes.  I agree mine were somewhat dry when I recieved them, but after the trip they took, I can see why.  But I fixed that little problem.  I decided to take one delictible cupcake and place it in the microwave for 10 seconds.  Not only did the cupcake smell awesome afterwards but I was moist!!!!!

So here’s the lowdown….. cupcake holders – I like them better then the ones in the store.  These are sturdier and prettier in my humble opinion.  And I have to disagree with Nikki on this one, they were easy to get into, just grab the sides and go…….The cupcake itself…..yummy.  Not only does it take like a snickerdoodle, I may give up snickerdoodles completely in favor of these cupcakes.  Yes, they were a teeny dry, but as I said above, I fixed that problem.  As for the frosting….what can I say, I LURVED it.

So with that  :::bowing to CB::: I am not worthy, these were truly Heaven in a box.

P.S.  If Mr. Cuppcakes wants to send more for me to taste……….  :)   :)     :)     :)

  1. I agree. You and NB had a leg up on RP and I, since you got to cheat and look at our blogs first! RP wouldn’t let me look at hers til I finished mine…Hm.

I’m with you though…I loved the little cupcake holders. Mike enjoyed them too…so much fun to pop them open! :)

  2. Dear Kristi, iheartcuppycakes! is very impressed with your review of our snickerdoodle cupcake. You obviously know the secret to our cuppycakes holders (that is definitely a plus!) and we couldn’t agree more that we like the simplicity and quality of them over traditional cupcake liners as well. We appreciate your time and obvious effort. At this time, we will review all the candidates and be in touch.
    Sincerely, Mr. Cuppycakes

  4. G was the whiner that needed scissors. I did need my teeth though, I didn’t want to mess up my frosting by popping them off. Frosting is very important :)
